Our Family-Style Living Model
Four specialized residential homes designed to foster age-appropriate development, stability, and belonging.
We believe that every child deserves to live in a clean, comfortable, and family-oriented environment. Rather than operating as an impersonal institution, our premises features four dedicated residential houses. This layout allows us to provide tailored care, appropriate supervision, and structured peer groups for 64 boys and girls.
At Catherine Robson Children’s Home, our primary mandate is to provide full-time residential care to children aged 4 to 18 who have been found in need of care and protection by a Children’s Court. Operating under the statutory framework of the Children’s Act 38 of 2005 (as amended), we offer 64 beneficiaries a secure haven away from neglect, abuse, and vulnerability
Our Four Residential Units
Junior Boys House (Ages 4–12)
A warm, nurturing environment focused on early childhood development, foundational schooling support, and safe play spaces.
Junior Girls House (Ages 4–12)
Designed to build confidence, self-care habits, and emotional stability in a gentle, supportive group setting.
Senior Boys House (Ages 13–18)
Focused on positive male mentorship, life skills, sports, study discipline, and preparing young men for independent adulthood.
Senior Girls House (Ages 13–18)
Empowering teenage girls through academic support, life-skills training, personal wellness, and career guidance.
What Each House Provides
Dedicated, full-time Child and Youth Care Workers in every house.
Clean dormitories, personal storage, quiet study areas, and communal living rooms.
Healthy, freshly prepared daily meals and snack routines.
Safe outdoor recreation areas and play equipment.
